Why Lord Maurice became Toxic Lord Maurice in the 1950's.

  Maurice Egerton, came to Kenya, a retired British Navy in the early 1920s. He intended to spend the rest of his life in the country and so invited his Australian lover to come with him. By then, he owned a four roomed cottage in a place called Nakuru. The Australian lover however, reportedly spent only 2 hours in the compound upon arrival. She argued that the house was small and therefore did not fit her standards. Afterwards she left for Australia. In a bid to 'up his game', Lord Maurice decided he would build a castle fit his Australian 'queen'. So he sought the services of a British architect, Albert Brown who helped him come up with a Luxurious design of a castle that would resemble one located in England. He then imported construction materials from England, other structural materials from Italy, rocks and marbles from China among other things.
